ABOUT CAROL BROWN:

Carol began the formal study of massage in her home state of Louisiana, and received her Arkansas Massage License (LMT) in 1984. In 1994, Carol’s National Certification was awarded, and since 1998 she has been recognized as a Master Massage Therapist and Instructor. Carol continues to add to her techniques and expertise through continuing education. At present, she is studying Medical Massage from a European perspective with Dr. Ross Turchaninov’s Science of Massage.

As a 21-year-old inner city elementary school teacher in the New Orleans French Quarter, Carol became interested in health and nutrition when she found herself feeling exhausted, stressed, and reliant on coffee to keep going. An older teacher introduced her to healthy eating and natural remedies, which made her more aware of healthful choices. She began learning all she could. Her life’s purpose has always been to help other people, and at some point Carol realized that out of all the natural remedies she had studied (iridology, reflexology, nutrition, herbology, and others), she was most drawn to touch therapy. This interest has melded the many massage modalities she has learned into a talent for customizing her massage sessions for each client who comes to her for help with pain or a desire to improve their overall health.

Carol has been complimented as a “natural born teacher”, which was evident in her years in the classroom, and now is exhibited in her work with clients who want to understand more about their bodies and to feel better. You will more than likely get “homework” from her if you want it!
